Sports and Fitness
For the physically active student, the College of Medicine offers several team sports and fitness programs at varying levels of competition. The College's soccer, basketball, and volleyball teams compete with teams from other area medical schools. Students can also participate in less competitive activities like biking and running club.
The student organizations listed below are examples of clubs hosted by students and are often but not consistently recognized by the Office of Student Affairs and SGA. For a current list of currently recognized student organizations, please visit http://ducomsga.org/student-group-directory/.
College of Medicine Basketball is the perfect club for students of all skill levels looking for a fun way to get outside and shoot some hoops. In addition to arranging our own pick up games, we will be hosting competitions such as three-point and free throw shootouts as well as small tournaments. For those who are avid basketball watchers, we will also be hosting watch parties. Overall, College of Medicine Basketball provides an outlet for both hoop lovers and any student to take a break from studying and to try something new.
