About: Nancy Spector, MD, supports and creates programs and resources to help faculty achieve their professional goals, including formal development programs, mentoring programs and workshops. She also fosters the implementation of educational technology.

About: Michele Kutzler, PhD, works with the senior vice dean to implement resources in professional career development and leadership skills to faculty in medical and scientific disciplines through special seminars, networking events and training programs.

Associate Dean for Professionalism and Continuing Education; Director of Behavioral Healthcare Education; Professor of Psychiatry

About: Donna McNelis, PhD, provides professional interdisciplinary continuing education, and staff development and consultation to providers and practitioners across the nation. Her current interests include co-occurring mental illness and intellectual/developmental disabilities, co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders, psychopharmacology for non-medical practitioners, child-focused issues and program management. Dr. McNelis has worked with the PA Department of Human Services on Veterans’ focused care and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs).

About: Tamar Simpser, MBA, serves as the head administrator for the Office of Faculty, including Behavioral Health Education (BHE) and Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM)/Executive Leadership in Health Care (ELH). Tamar manages faculty contracts and budgeting, and assists with human resource processes for College of Medicine faculty.

About: Caitlin Curcio, MS, provides oversight of faculty life-cycle activities and serves as a primary resource for faculty onboarding, appointments and promotions, engagement and faculty affairs–related policy and procedure oversight. She supports faculty through professional development, leadership development and other career planning initiatives.

Database and Program Assessment Coordinator

About: Alli Cain provides comprehensive management of faculty data. She maintains the faculty roster, tracks appointments and promotions, manages the annual performance review process and updates faculty profiles. She is responsible for providing detailed internal reports as well as external reporting to accrediting bodies. Additionally, Alli manages Faculty Senate and College of Medicine standing committees elections processes.

About: Arlene Padolina provides administrative support to the Office of Faculty and supports all standing committees. She also manages search committees that arise from the Dean's Office.

About: Kyong Park serves as a liaison between the Office of Faculty and regional and affiliate campuses. Additionally, she provides administrative support to the Appointments & Promotions Committee and processes Non-Employee Associate (NEA) forms.

Janine Barber, MS

Associate Director, Awards and Scholarships

About: Janine Barber manages internal and external award programs that elevate College of Medicine faculty and recognize excellence in research, scholarship, education, leadership, patient care, community outreach and diversity excellence. She also oversees the nomination and selection process for faculty funding opportunities including the Mary DeWitt Pettit, MD, Fellowship and AAMC leadership development seminars.
