Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® Institutions for Leadership Advancement

Institutions for Leadership Advancement membership enables ELAM to provide continuing support for ELAM alumni, who in turn support your institution's emerging leaders through community building, continuing education and professional development.

Benefits of Joining Institutions for Leadership Advancement

An annual membership fee of $3,500 makes you a member of Institutions for Leadership Advancement, with the following benefits:

  • Recognition of your institution or hospital system on the ELAM website, the fellowship syllabus, Leaders Forum Book, and Whova, the go-to app for fellows.
  • Recruitment assistance in the form of senior-level position openings to our biweekly e-newsletter, the ELAM Edge, for free – a value of $500 per posting. The ELAM Edge is circulated to our cadre of alumni and fellows at academic health centers across the U.S. and Canada, and archived on our website for eight weeks. As a further benefit, ELAM can prepare customized resource lists of alumni for your consideration as potential candidates and sources of others' names for your senior-level openings. This service, a value of $1,000 per list, is also free for Sustaining Members. Visit our career services page for more information.
  • Open invitations to ELAM special events, such as our annual Leaders Forum and AAMC.
  • Resources upon request, such as curriculum-related materials, the latest reference articles on leadership, finance, strategic planning, cultural competency and other ELAM curricular areas, ELAM research updates and executive coach information.

How to Become an ELAM member of Institutions for Leadership Advancement

1. Online – Visit the online payment site and enter invoice number 323-ILA2026.

2. U.S. Mail – Email the Career Services team at elamcareers@drexel.edu for the membership form and payment instructions.
