Philadelphia Magazine's Top Doctors 2019 Faculty Named Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctors™ for 2019

Congratulations to Drs. Karen S. Carvalho* (Child Neurology), Agustin Legido* (Child Neurology) and Joseph J. Melvin* (Child Neurology) who were named "Top Doctors" in Philadelphia magazine's annual list of the region's best physicians. (May 6, 2019)

G. Peter Gliebus, MD, Named Chair of Neurology

G. Peter Gliebus, MD, has been named chair of the Department of Neurology. Dr. Gliebus joined the College of Medicine in 2015 and has served with distinction as interim chair since March 2017. He is an associate professor of neurology and program director for the Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry Fellowship.

Teaching Honors Received

Yasir Al Khalili, MD, a current neurophysiology fellow and former neurology resident, has been nominated by medical students for a 2018 Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching.

January/February 2017: Jill Giordano Farmer, MD, assistant professor of neurology, authored an article about risk factors for Parkinson's disease in Practical Neurology.
