Academic Integrity and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Thursday, July 16, 2026

9:00 AM-10:00 AM

The Office of Graduate Studies offers series of informational and professional development workshops to help students get acquainted with campus resources and services as they prepare to begin their graduate study. These workshops are optional but highly encouraged. The workshops will be recorded and archived on this website for later viewing.

As artificial intelligence (AI) tools become increasingly common in education, it is essential for students to understand how to use them ethically and responsibly. This workshop explores the principles of academic integrity and examines the appropriate use of AI technologies in academic settings. Participants will learn how to distinguish between acceptable and inappropriate AI use, properly acknowledge AI-assisted work, avoid plagiarism and academic misconduct, and apply critical thinking when using AI-generated content.

Facilitated by Jay Bhatt, MS, Information Services Librarian, Engineering Library Liaison, Drexel University Libraries
