  • Faculty engaged in space and design planning for new research environments.
  • Expanded scholarly activity and collaboration through Grand Rounds and academic programming.

Clinical Strategy and Drexel Health Integration

Efforts reinforce alignment of clinical care with education and research missions to improve outcomes.

Education and Academic Innovation

  • Bylaws revised to support graduate program alignment and College integration have been approved by University governance, as of May 2026.
  • Expanding clinical training opportunities for MD Program and PA Studies students with new sites under development.
  • Strategic planning underway to address financial aid implications tied to federal changes.

Faculty Affairs and Development

Supports faculty development, retention and leadership pipelines.

  • Building a stronger, more connected faculty community through programming. Launch of a new Community of Educators series, designed to foster engagement, collaboration and shared learning. “Community of Educators Day: From Ideas to Impact,” a virtual faculty development event on September 10, 2026, focuses on advancing educational scholarship, leadership development, and career growth for medical and graduate educators.
  • Alignment of tenure and non-tenure policies underway.
  • Development of a College-wide faculty workload policy framework with target implementation by Fall 2027.
  • Planning a faculty development day in 2027 focused on scholarship and academic identity.

 

Next Steps

Phase 3, which continues through 2030, is focused on implementation, continuous quality improvement and broad stakeholder engagement. Leadership handoffs to the appropriate mission area stakeholders and/or bylaws committees are in progress, and metrics will be tracked to ensure accountability and strategic alignment.
