Erum N. Ilyas, MD ’01, MBE, has been appointed academic chair of Drexel University College of Medicine’s provisional Department of Dermatology. Dr. Ilyas has been serving as interim chair of the department since January 2024. She has been a College of Medicine faculty member since 2016 and has served as the Dermatology Pathway director since 2021.

STAR gives first-year Drexel students the opportunity to gain research experience during the summer after their freshman year, and this Thursday they’ll present the projects they contributed to at the STAR Summer Showcase.
