This maintenance should not be user visible due to the high-availability (redundant) nature of the VPN server.

Internet Access for the Campus Network was restored to regular operation for all location flowing through the Border Firewall on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 8:00 AM. Drexel's Internet Border Firewall will under go routine maintenance during the scheduled period to improve performance and security. Due to the high availability architecture of the equipment, normal Internet service should not be impacted during this maintenance.

Brief Service Interruptions Impacting Drexel IT Applications & Servers During Network Maintenance in Campus Data Centers

Monday, November 25, 2024 - 6:00 AM

All Application Services Hosted by Drexel IT was restored to regular operation for Drexel IT Data Centers on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 7:00 AM. During the advertised time there may be several brief (1 to 2 minute) service interruptions impacting application services provided by Drexel IT while critical security patches are applied to network infrastructure in on-campus data centers. Examples of impacted services include: Drexel's web site, Drexel One, Drexel Connect, Banner, Drexel IT file servers, University IP telephones, Active Directory and other administrative applications. _____Established VPN connections and Internet access will not be impacted. Services provided by College and Department run servers will not be impacted unless those services have a dependency on Drexel IT central services. Microsoft Office365 and Outlook email will not be impacted. Vonage telephone service will not be impacted.

Legacy Voicemail System Maintenance

Legacy Campus Voicemail Service was restored to regular operation for all locations on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 4:45 AM. The University legacy voicemail and voice menu system will be unavailable beginning at 10:00PM, Tuesday, November 19th. Normal service will be restored on or before 6:00AM, Wednesday, November 20th. Vonage voicemail and menu applications are unaffected. _________During this time, the legacy system will not play mailbox greetings or accept messages for unanswered calls. Also voice menu applications will be unavailable to callers. In all such cases where a greeting or menu would normally be announced, callers will hear a message indicating the system is temporarily unavailable and they should call again after the maintenance period. _________The ability to make and retrieve calls (that do not rely on voice mail/menu applications) will not be interrupted. All existing menus, greetings and voicemail messages will be preserved and restored to normal service after the maintenance. _________The actual maintenance duration is expected to be much shorter; however, the eight hour window is being reserved out of an abundance of caution. _________If you have questions or concerns about this service interruption please contact telephone-request@drexe.edu or call 215-895-6666.

Due to server maintenance for Oracle quarterly patching, all Administrative systems including Banner, Web Financials, Portal and Reporting systems will be unavailable Sunday 11/10/2024 from 6 am - 12 pm.
