Using a Password to Automatically Confirm Commands
List can be configured to require no confirmation from the list owner, either for email commands, or messages sent to the list. However, this leaves the list open to potentials hackers or spammer, so requiring confirmation helps protect your reputation and your subscribers.
However, if you would prefer not confirm every email command sent to ListServ, you can include your ListServ password in every command. To use this option, include pw=yourpassword, where "yourpassword" is the ListServ password you set up, at the end of the first line of any command. Ensure that this phrase is separated from the rest of the text on the first line with a space.
For example:
quiet add listname dd=ddname import pw=yourpassword
//ddname dd *
userid1@host1.com
userid2@host2.com
…
useridn@hostn.com
