What: Using Web GIS Applications across Disciplines Workshop
When: May 28th , 2015 5-6:30pm
Where: Drexel University Hagerty Library, rooms L33 5-5:30pm for refreshments, and L-13C (computer lab) 5:30-6:30pm for the workshop. The event will also be streamed online at http://tinyurl.com/SCALAtalk
Who: Drexel Libraries’ Chris Badurek, PhD, MSL&IS with 15 years of experience teaching GIS.
Why: Upon completing this workshop, you will be familiar with web GIS applications in disciplines ranging from environmental sciences, health informatics, and digital humanities. The talk will focus on using GIS in the academic and public library setting, and the possibilities for creating web mapping applications with ESRI’s ArcGIS Online.
For Whom: No prior experience with GIS tools required.

Food and refreshments will be served.
