Data@Drexel: Benefits of ICPSR

Thursday, March 10, 2016

2:00 PM-3:00 PM

Join the Libraries on Thursday, March 10 at 2 PM to learn more about Drexel’s membership in the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research. This informal event will offer a demonstration of ICPSR tools followed by discussion of resources and opportunities available for researchers across multiple disciplines.

As a member of ICPSR, Drexel joins approximately 700 colleges and universities in the acquisition, preservation, and distribution of social science data.

In addition to data repository access and curation services, Drexel’s ICPSR membership provides discounted access to the 2016 ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research. The Summer Program offers training to faculty, students, and researchers on quantitative methods across the social, behavioral, and medical sciences. ICPSR also offers competitive scholarships for graduate students and assistant professors to help cover the costs of the workshops. Scholarships targeting researchers from the fields of political science, sociology, quantitative history, education, developmental psychology, and public administration are highlighted.
