Research personnel working in laboratories are potentially exposed to dangerous chemicals on a daily basis. These chemicals may be toxic, flammable, corrosive, explosive, or carcinogenic. Exposure may cause immediate reactions or have long term effects that present several months or years later. As such, it is essential to have a strong chemical safety program at Drexel University.
