Online Engineering Programs Earn Recognition

A new ranking of online engineering master’s degree programs places Drexel Engineering among the nation’s best.

The U.S. News and World Report “2022 Best Online Programs” list ranks distance learning programs across all levels and disciplines. Drexel’s overall score for the year was a 69 out of 100, an improvement of four points from 2021 and good for a ranking of No. 42 for Best Online Master’s in Engineering Program.

In program specialty lists, which display the top 20 online graduate programs in the country, Drexel’s systems engineering program ranked No. 11 after being unranked in 2021, and engineering management was rated No. 6, up from No. 11 last year.

Additionally, Drexel was ranked No. 26 in the Master’s in Engineering Programs for Veterans list.

“In the past two years, the value of online education has proven itself many times over,” says Sharon L. Walker, PhD, dean of the College of Engineering. “Drexel offers robust options for those who want to earn degrees fully or partially online, and it’s gratifying to see that affirmed by U.S. News.”
