Dr. Adam Fontecchio, Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and Director of Drexel's Center for the Advancement of STEM Teaching and Learning Excellence (CASTLE), has been elected Acting Director of CIRTL Network. CIRTL stands for the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning, and is a national network of universities focused on preparing the next generation of faculty in STEM education.
According to CIRTL, their "cross-Network learning community provides opportunities for STEM graduate students and postdocs to enhance their teaching and learning skills" through "multi-institutional collaborations across the Network as well as numerous working groups and learning communities."
As Acting Director, Dr. Fontecchio will "work with the CIRTL Leadership Team on policies and procedures, implementation of CIRTL Network initiatives," membership development, and strategic development.
