Professor Steve May served as the program committee co-chair of the 2019 Joint Magnetism and Magnetic Materials (MMM) – Intermag Conference, which was held in Washington, DC from January 14-18, 2019. The conference combines two annual premiere international conferences on magnetism, the IEEE International Magnetics Conference (Intermag) and the Conference on Magnetism and Magnetic Materials (MMM). As co-chair of the program committee with Professor Laura Lewis (Northeastern University), May managed all aspects of putting together the conference program, including forming an international program committee consisting of 78 members, selecting symposia and invited speakers, and overseeing the effort to decision approximately 1,780 contributed abstracts and schedule presentations into oral and poster sessions.
