Alumni Visit Kennedy Space Center

On February 9, 2019, Drexel alumni and friends had the opportunity to visit Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The event included lunch, an exclusive tour of the launch pads and a discussion with retired U.S. Navy captain and former NASA astronaut Chris Ferguson ’84, HD ’09. Ferguson is now preparing for his fourth mission to space aboard Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner as the company’s first commercial test pilot astronaut.

Guests also heard about the ways Drexel is helping the next generation launch groundbreaking careers from Ian Sladen, vice president for co-operative education and career development.

Afterwards, Captain Ferguson led a tour of the launch pads.
