Dr. Kapil Dandekar Earns Competitive MRI Award from NSF

Kapil DandekarDr. Kapil Dandekar is the primary investigator on the recently awarded project, "MRI: Development of a mmWave Software Defined Radio Network Testbed for Hybrid Measurement and Emulation," from the National Science Foundation. The award, which will run for four years, is expected to be supported at $499,999 to support the project.

The project's other directors include Dr. Steven Weber, Professor and Department Head for Electrical and Computer Engineering, Dr. Nagajaran Kandasamy, Professor and Associate Department Head of Undergraduate Affairs in ECE, and Dr. Geoffrey Mainland, Assistant Professor in Drexel's Department of Computer Science.

The NSF Major Research Instrumentation Program, or MRI, supports the acquisition or creation of instruments to support cutting-edge engineering and scientific research and support the training of STEM students.
