Drexel Materials Associate Professor Caroline Schauer and Hoeganaes Associate Professor Mitra Taheri have been selected to take part in the Executive Leadership in Academic Technology and Engineering (ELATE at Drexel®) leadership development program 2017-18 fellowship year.

ELATE is a national program designed to advance senior women faculty in academic engineering, computer science, and related fields into effective institutional leadership roles within their schools and universities. Since the program’s 2012 inauguration, 52 universities and colleges have sponsored fellows to take part in this intensive full-year, part-time fellowship program, modeled on the highly successful ELAM program for women in medicine, dentistry, and public health. Schauer and Taheri are the only two faculty members from Drexel selected as 2017-18 ELATE Fellows.
