Two Drexel Materials faculty have been recognized for their outstanding scholarly achievements.
Distinguished University and Trustee Chair Professor Yury Gogotsi (right) is a recipient of the Award for Outstanding Scholarly Achievement, which recognizes innovation and significant impact in research, scholarship, and creativity. This award is presented to a tenured faculty member who has worked in the field beyond their terminal degree for 16 years and has been employed at Drexel for a minimum of six years.
Professor Christopher Li (left) has been honored as one of three awardees of the Award for Outstanding Mid-Career Scholarly Achievement, recognizing leadership and achievement in the faculty member’s field. This award is presented to tenured/tenure-track faculty who have been in the field for nine to 16 years and at Drexel for a minimum of six years.
The university’s highest awards for scholarship, the faculty were honored, along with fellow awardees in scholarship, teaching, and service at the annual Faculty Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, May 25 in Behrakis Grand Hall.
