PhD student Boris Dyatkin (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) is the recipient of a National Research Council Research Associateship Program (NRC RAP) post-doctoral fellowship. He has accepted a post-doctoral position in a group in the Chemistry Division at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC to begin upon completion of his doctoral degree.
The NRC RAP is awarded by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), and the National Academy of Medicine (NAM). According to their website, the NRC “administers competitive graduate postdoctoral and senior research awards on behalf of 26 U.S. government research agencies and affiliated institutions with facilities at over 100 locations throughout the U.S. and abroad.” Approximately 300 new awards are made annually, selected from a pool of 1,000 applicants.
