Join Drexel Engineering Dean Sharon Walker for a virtual Q&A with alumnus Jon Rambeau, COE ‘96, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Integrated Warfare Systems and Sensors (IWSS) line of business.
The discussion will cover Mr. Rambeau’s career journey, leadership lessons and how his Drexel education has influenced his career. Students will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with Mr. Rambeau and Dean Walker during the second half of the event.

About the Panelists
As IWSS vice president, Jon Rambeau is responsible for the strategic, operational and financial performance of missile defense, radar, shipbuilding, directed energy and combat system integration programs that serve to increase customer capability and help achieve mission success. Mr. Rambeau is a proven leader with 25 years of experience at Lockheed Martin. He has held critical roles in program management, engineering, and operations. His prior leadership roles included vice president for Lockheed Martin’s C6ISR line of business within RMS; vice president and general manager for Lockheed Martin’s Training and Logistics Solutions line of business within RMS; and vice president of F-35 International Programs at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Mr. Rambeau holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Science in Technology Management from The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Engineering and Applied Science. He is the author of the book Breaking Away from the Pack, a framework to accelerate professional success, based on his passion of mentoring young professionals throughout his career.
Dr. Sharon L. Walker, PhD, was appointed Dean of Drexel’s College of Engineering and Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering in 2018. A Yale University-trained water quality systems expert focusing on the fate and transport of bacteria and nanoparticles in water, she began her faculty career in 2005 at the University of California, Riverside (UCR), where she rose through the faculty ranks to full professor, and served in three substantial leadership roles including Associate Dean for Recruitment, Retention and Student Success in the Graduate Division; Associate Dean for Student Academic Affairs; and Interim Dean of the Bourns College of Engineering. Dr. Walker was named a fellow of the Association for Environmental Engineering and Science Professors in 2017 and the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2020. She is also inducted into Chi Epsilon, Tau Beta Pi, and Golden Key honor societies.
