MEET THE PANELISTS

Kathy Buckley, BS Commerce and Engineering ’91, BS Civil Engineering ’93
Kathy Buckley is a civil engineer with over 30 years coordinating large teams on high-level projects. She is an expert in directing the workflow of earth and concrete works, underground utility installations and project demolitions. She has been an engineer with Buckley & Company, Inc. since 1986. Buckley & Company, Inc. was hired by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to build a temporary roadway and permanent replacement bridge.


Marley Buckley, BA Entrepreneurship and Innovation ’23
Marley Buckley is the project operations manager of Buckley & Company, Inc. in Philadelphia where she serves as the fourth generation of the company. Her primary responsibilities include managing subcontractors and monitoring daily project activities. Since beginning her career with the company, Buckley has taken over and managed all philanthropic efforts, including the launch of a fundraiser for the Moody Family, the family of the truck driver who tragically passed in the I-95 fire.


Yaghoob (Amir) Farnam, PhD, Associate Professor, Drexel University

Yaghoob (Amir) Farnam is an associate professor at Drexel University and a United States Fulbright Scholar. He has been a faculty member of the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering since 2016. Farnam is the director of the Drexel Advanced Infrastructure Materials (AIM) research group where he integrates civil engineering, materials science and advanced characterization techniques to enhance the durability, resilience and sustainability of civil engineering infrastructure. He has authored more than 70 papers and technical documents, and two book chapters with more than 2,500 citations. Farnam is the recipient of the Drexel University 2021 Outstanding Early Career Award and the Drexel University 2023 Outstanding Innovation Award.


Theresa Andrejack Loux, BS/MS Civil Engineering ’06, PhD ’10
Theresa Andrejack Loux is the chief technical officer for Aero Aggregates of North America, LLC, where her primary responsibilities include overseeing Aero’s research and development activities, technical documentation, engineering support, quality control program and education and outreach efforts. In the past, she has been involved in and managed a variety of civil, geotechnical and geo-environmental consulting and construction projects in the Mid-Atlantic United States. Loux also teaches as an adjunct professor at Rowan University and is the current chair of the Geo-Institute’s Delaware Valley Chapter. Aero Aggregates supplied a foamed glass aggregate that has temporarily rebuilt the collapsed section of the corridor while crews work on a permanent rebuild.
