Biography
Dr. Neslihan Gençkal is joining the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics at Drexel University as an Assistant Teaching Professor in January 2026. She will be contributing to the department teaching in aerospace-focused courses. She received her undergraduate degree in Astronautical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2015, her master's degree in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University in 2018, and her Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2024. Following her doctoral studies, she served as an adjunct faculty at Virginia Tech, teaching junior-level Astromechanics.
