Biography

Dr. Ehiremen Ebewele joins Drexel University as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics. His expertise spans turbomachinery, aerodynamics, and air-bearing systems, with a research focus on hybrid thrust bearings, gas foil bearings, and the design and analysis of advanced bearing and seal systems for rotating machinery. He earned his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, where his dissertation centered on hybrid air bearing design strategies combining numerical modeling with experimental validation.

Dr. Ebewele has additional experience in rotorcraft aeromechanics, aerodynamics and thermal-fluid systems. He is passionate about experiential learning and is committed to helping students build strong foundations in aerodynamics and mechanics while developing problem-solving skills relevant to industry and research. At Drexel, he looks forward to contributing to the aerospace and mechanical engineering curriculum and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
