The College of Computing & Informatics' (CCI) Computer Science Department held its annual awards ceremony on Thursday, May 30 at 3675 Market Street. Awards were presented to undergraduate and graduate students in recognition of academic, scholarly and leadership excellence by Computer Science Department Head Jeremy Johnson, PhD, Associate Department Head for Graduate Affairs Yuanfang Cai, PhD and Associate Department Head for Undergraduate Affairs Bill Mongan, PhD.

The following CCI students were recognized:

  • Jennifer Bondarchuk - Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Leadership
  • Christopher McCole - Outstanding Undergraduate Course Assistant Award
  • Klaus Nuredini - Outstanding Undergraduate Course Assistant Award
  • Safa Aman - High Performance Computing Award
  • Peter Gagliardi - High Performance Computing Award and A* Award
  • Royce Rajan - High Performance Computing Award
  • Robert Ross - High Performance Computing Award and James B. Maginnis Award
  • Joseph Urbano - High Performance Computing Award and Maple Founders Award
  • Hongzhou Fang - Graduate Research Award
  • Daniel Schoepflin - Werner Krandick Teaching Assistant Award
  • Bander Alsulami - Jay Modi Memorial Award
