ScholarSnack: An Intro to Ethical Hacking of IoT Devices

Wednesday, October 24, 2018

2:00 PM-3:00 PM

Join Drexel University Libraries for the next ScholarSnack: An Introduction to Ethical Hacking of Internet of Things (IoT) Devices!

Interested in learning how to easily conduct reconnaissance—the first state of ethical hacking—on Internet of Things (IoT) devices? During the workshop, CCI Teaching Professor Dr. Thomas Heverin will offer hands-on experience using Shodan, an online search engine for Internet-connected devices. After learning some key concepts in cyber security, attendees will help discover devices such as building automation systems, data center cooling systems, security cameras, and more. No experience in cyber security is necessary.

All Drexel students, faculty and professional staff are invited to attend this hands-on workshop. RSVP at http://libcal.library.drexel.edu/event/4664800
