Biography

Dr. Heejun Kim’s research interests include text mining, machine learning, information retrieval, health informatics, human-computer interaction, and geographic information science. Previous to Drrexel, Kim served as an instructor and research assistant on multiple biomedical informatics projects at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, including developing an online education platform and boot camp for biomedical and health informatics. He earned a PhD in Information Science from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, an MS in Geography (with a specialization in geographic information science) from the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University.
