Frequently Asked Questions about COEUS
I am a student and I am receiving an error message when I try to log into COEUS.
No problem! You are receiving an error message because students do not have COEUS access by default and need to be added into the system manually by the COEUS helpdesk. Please fill out the form on this page to request COEUS access.
When I launch COEUS Lite, the page won't load.
I am receiving the message that the budget end date does not match the proposal end date when I try to submit.
This often happens when a proposal is copied from an old proposal with different budget dates. Please email coeus_help@drexel.edu who can quickly correct the dates for you on the back end.
Who can help me prepare my proposal?
My proposal or protocol says it is locked.
Sometimes your COEUS record will appear to be locked if another user is currently accessing it or when you have exited the record incorrectly. This can often occur when you use the back button in the system or when you close your browser without logging out of COEUS. Please try to log out of COEUS completely and close your browser entirely (not just the COEUS tab) before trying again. If you are still having trouble, please contact coeus-help@drexel.edu and we will be able to manually remove you from the record.
I do not see my sponsor located in COEUS.
No problem! If you have performed a search for a Sponsor or Organization (be sure to try a search with the asterisk* before or after all or part of the sponsor name; i.e.: *Penn*, *Pennsylvania, Penn*) in Coeus and cannot find in COEUS, please submit the form here to request a new sponsor. Using the asterisk symbol (AKA wildcard symbol) will allow you to search the COEUS Sponsor Table for entries that contain specific letters, which will give you a broader array of results.
I need help with my IRB Protocol.
The Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) is responsible for providing administrative and regulatory support to the Drexel University Institutional Review Boards (IRB). HRPP provides guidance on the responsible conduct of human research to Drexel's IRB members, faculty, investigators and their research assistants. You can reach HRPP at HRPP@drexel.edu and you can find their webpage with helpful information here.
