Introducing the DragonSPOT Research Administration Management System

April 16, 2021

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:

The Office of Research & Innovation is pleased to announce the initial rollout of DragonSPOT, Drexel’s new research administration management system! DragonSPOT (Sponsored Programs Online Tracking) is a cloud-based, integrated research administration management system that will replace COEUS and other related manual processes and is available to research community faculty, staff, and students.

DragonSPOT is designed to streamline and modernize research administration operations across the university, it supports Drexel’s research aspirations as detailed in our new Strategic Plan, Drexel2030, and will reduce administrative burden on faculty and staff. The system will allow the university to continue optimizing its pursuit and management of research while meeting the needs of principal investigators, administrators, university executive leadership, and various research support functions by offering:

  • Accountability
  • Collaboration
  • Empowerment
  • Flexibility
  • Integration
  • Transparency
