Maple

Maple is math software that combines the world's most powerful math engine with an interface that makes it easy to analyze, explore, visualize, and solve mathematical problems.

Install Maple

Install on a Drexel-owned PC

  Note: If you're working from off campus, you'll need to connect to Drexel's Virtual Private Network (VPN) before you can install Maple from Software Center.

  1. Do one of the following, depending on which version of Windows is running on your PC:
    • In Windows 11, select Start  > All apps > Software Center.
    • In Windows 10, select Start  > Microsoft Endpoint Manager > Software Center.
  2. Under Applications, select Maple 2024 > Install.

      Note: Maple is automatically activated when you install the app from Software Center.

Install on a Drexel-owned Mac

  1. Go to Finder > Applications > Self Service.
  2. Sign in with Drexel Connect.
  3. Under Browse, select All.
  4. Locate Maple 2024 and select Install.

      Note: Maple is automatically activated when you install the app from Self Service.

Install and activate on a personal-owned PC

  1. Download the Maple installer from OnTheHub. For more info, see Download software from OnTheHub.
  2. Once the download has completed, double-click (or double-tap) the downloaded installer.
  3. If you see the User Account Control prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?, select Yes. You might need to enter an administrator username and password.
  4. Review the installation language or change your installation language, and then select OK.
  5. On the first installation screen, select Next to begin the installation process.
  6. Review the license agreement. Select I accept the agreement to agree to the license terms, and then select Next.
  7. Review the install location or change your install location, and then select Next.
  8. On the Install Destktop Shortcut screen, select Next.
  9. (Optional) If you have a compatible version of MATLAB installed, you can install the toolbox that connects Maple with MATLAB.
    • To install the Maple Toolbox, select MATLAB Configuration. Select your MATLAB installation, and then select Next.
    • To skip the Maple Toolbox installation, select Next.
  10. On the License Type screen, select Single User License, and then select Next.
  11. On the Check for Updates screen, select Next. If an update is available, select OK.
  12. Select Next to begin the installation.
  13. Select Finish when the installation is finished.
  14. On the Maplesoft Activation screen, enter your license code from OnTheHub, and then select Next
  15. Complete your user information, select I consent to the collection of information as described above, and then select Next.
  16. Select OK when the activation is finished.

Install and activate on a personal-owned Mac

  1. Download the Maple installer from OnTheHub. For more info, see Download software from OnTheHub.
  2. Once the download has completed, double-click the downloaded installer.
  3. Double-click Maple2024.0MacInstaller.app (the name might vary slightly).

    Tip: If you see a prompt that says, "Maple2024.0MacInstaller.app" is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?, select Open.

  4. Enter your Mac login password, if prompted, and then select OK.
  5. Review the installation language or change your installation language, and then select OK.
  6. On the first installation screen, select Next to begin the installation process.
  7. Review the license agreement. Select I accept the agreement to agree to the license terms, and then select Next.
  8. Review the install location or change your install location, and then select Next.
  9. (Optional) If you have a compatible version of MATLAB installed, you can install the toolbox that connects Maple with MATLAB.
    • To install the Maple Toolbox, select MATLAB Configuration. Select your MATLAB installation, and then select Next.
    • To skip the Maple Toolbox installation, select Next.
