What Are Broadcast Emails?

Broadcast emails are emails that IT distributes to faculty, professional staff, and/or students. Drexel IT maintains the automatically-updated email lists for this purpose.

Unformatted messages sent to IT for broadcast email distribution will be formatted into our default HTML templates. For tips on formatting your own HTML emails, see our HTML Guide.

In an effort to limit the amount of email the community receives, we recommend that event-related announcements be submitted to the Drexel Events Calendar, and that general announcements be submitted to DrexelNOW.

Broadcast emails can be distributed in one of two ways:

Using Drexel IT Lists

These lists require approval, but are automatically-updated and split by various Drexel audiences.

Using Drexel IT "Special" Lists

"Special" lists are empty lists that IT can load from an Excel list of addresses.
