Vonage Business Communications (VBC) says:

All 10-digit long code (10DLC) phone numbers used to send and/or receive SMS texts require registration with The Campaign Registry (TCR). This is the industry standard approved by mobile carriers to enhance delivery, increase security, reduce costs, and minimize spam.

As a result the Network Operations Center must publish the following:

Drexel University uses the Vonage (Part of Ericsson) Vonage Business Communications (VBC) unified communications platform to provide physical telephones and softphones for campus offices, faculty and staff.   Vonage VBC phone service supports two-way SMS/TEXT messaging.

Two-way messaging to/from VBC phone service at Drexel may be used for the following purposes:

• Individual use for casual  communication between two parties 
• Department business units for communication with students,  patients and other university partners
