Drexel Careers - Application Process

To view your application status, navigate to Drexel Careers and select "Applicant Login." Once you log in, you will see a list of positions you have applied for and the application status for each position.
We cannot provide the names/contact information of those within the hiring department(s). You may address your cover letter "To Whom it May Concern" or "To the Hiring Committee."
Internal applicants must apply via Drexel Careers. To be eligible for another position at Drexel, you must be in your current position for a minimum of six months and possess a satisfactory rating through Drexel’s performance review process.
Each posting on our job sites contains additional questions that ensure applicants meet the minimum required qualifications. If you did not meet these requirements, your application is marked as "Ineligible" and your application may not be considered for the position. You are still able to apply for other available positions at the University.
To retrieve your password, select the "Forgotten your password" link on the log in screen. Enter your email address and select "OK." Password reset instructions will be sent to the email on file.

Once your application has been submitted you cannot make changes to the information you provided and you cannot edit the attachments to your application (resume, cover letter, etc.).

Your profile information can be updated at any time.

Each job posting requests specific documents that must be uploaded/attached to your application. The most common documents include a CV/resume and cover letter. Please upload additional documents only if requested within the job posting.
It is suggested that you complete all sections of the application form, which will be reviewed by the hiring manager/committee/department during the review process. If you uploaded a CV/Resume when you created your account on Drexel Careers, most of the education and/or employment history will populate. You will still need to review this information.
Drexel Careers offers a search and filter function. On the right side of the page, enter a keyword in the search box and/or select the check box(es) to filter open positions.
No. You will need to complete a new applicant profile on Drexel Careers when you apply for a position you are interested in. You can sign up for Job Alerts via Drexel Careers to be notified of new positions that match your search criteria.

Hiring Processes

If the hiring department decides to pursue the candidate further, an in-person interview will follow. Dress appropriately and arrive on time for your scheduled interview. Once a decision is made, the hiring department will contact you.

If you are not selected as a finalist, you will be notified via phone or email.

Background checks are conducted for all full- and part-time professional staff, faculty, adjunct faculty, and temporary (Co-Op, Per Diem, Casual) employees at Drexel University, the Academy of Natural Sciences and Drexel University Online.

The specific background checks performed are determined by the employment category you are hired into. For more information, please review the appropriate Background Check Policy in the Policy Directory.

All persons employed by Drexel University must be eligible to work in the United States. This information is verified through the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form. During the onboarding process, the I-9 form is initiated online through our secure I-9 tracking system, and completed when the employee presents their identification to Human Resources.
Professional references listed on the application form will not be contacted unless you have been selected as a final candidate or unless otherwise notified during the hiring process.
Drexel will contact your current/previous employers unless you indicated otherwise on your application. Please note that if you indicated "no", we may ask for proof of performance in your previous employment positions.

Most job postings have a salary grade listed. Each letter corresponds to a salary level; the Drexel University salary structure is located on the Human Resources website. This salary structure information should only be used as a guideline. While this information is available, if an offer of employment is extended, the exact salary amount will vary depending on factors such as education, years of experience, certifications, etc.
