Distinguished Professor Michel Barsoum and Distinguished University and Bach Professor Yury Gogotsi have been named to Research.com’s 1st edition of their annual ranking for top materials scientists in the U.S. and worldwide.
To compile their rankings, Research.com reviewed more than 11,000 materials scientist profiles on Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph. The inclusion criteria for scholars to be considered into the ranking of top scientists are based on the discipline h-index of 40 or more, the proportion of contributions made within the given discipline in addition to the awards and achievements of the scientists. Using this criteria, both Barsoum and Gogotsi are ranked among the top 100 materials scientists in the U.S.
