Biography

Professor John Zolan is a Subject Matter Expert for EGMT 581: Human Relations & Organizational Behavior.  Additionally, he has been a Section Leader for EGMT 501: Engineering Management, EGMT 502: Advanced Engineering Management, EGMT 614: Marketing– Identifying Customer Needs, EGMT 615: Product Conceptualization, and Development, and EGMT 692: Engineering Management Capstone.  

In addition to his faculty role, Professor Zolan has worked in the power generation and alternative energy industries for over thirty-five years, including Cummins Power Systems as Director of New Product Development, Kohler Power Systems as VP of Marketing and New Product Development, and as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for STM Power, Inc., where his focus was on launching new alternative energy technologies. As part of each senior management team, Professor Zolan has been an integral part of these company’s product development and strategic planning processes as well as company reengineering and TQM efforts. Currently, he is pursuing projects involving the conversion of waste products to electricity in a consulting capacity.
