A Growing Public Health Concern Has Been Identified as a Risk Factor for Falls in Older Americans

Safiyyah Okoye, PhD, MSN, assistant professor of nursing in Drexel's College of Nursing and Health Professions with a joint appointment in Dornsife's Department of Health Management and Policy, was quoted in Jan. 12 List 23 and Medscape articles on recently published research she co-authored on potential fall-risk factors — including environmental, health and function — in older community-living adults in the U.S., both with and without dementia.

Okoye was also quoted in a Jan. 18 Neurology Today article about her research on potential fall-risk factors.
