New Federal Rules Would Limit Sugar in School Meals for First Time

Shiriki Kumanyika, PhD, a research professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health and founding chair of the Council on Black Health, was quoted in a Feb. 3 Associated Press story about the U.S. Department of Agriculture proposing new nutrition standards for school meals, including the first limits on added sugars.
