How Long Are Most MPH Programs?

While most MPH programs can be completed in two years, Drexel University Dornsife offers multiple program lengths. From an accelerated one-year timeline to an extended three-year timeline, Drexel Dornsife has an on-campus or online MPH option to fit your career goals and your financial needs. No GRE is required.

What Is the Fastest MPH Degree?

The fastest MPH degree program that Drexel Dornsife offers is the 12-month MPH.

Drexel Dornsife MPH Program Lengths:

12-Month MPH Timeline

Complete the accelerated MPH program in the shortest amount of time. This 12-month program offering begins in the summer term.

It is recommended that you not work while pursuing this plan.

Applicants to the 12-month program are not eligible for internships or research assistantships.

Eligible programs:

Expect to spend: 60-80 hours of coursework each week

Application deadline: April 1

A note on eligibility for international students: Please note that to be eligible for F-1/J-1 visa status, you must be enrolled in at least 6 FTF/HYB credits per term. For this reason, students in the on-campus/online hybrid program are not eligible for F-1/J-1 visa status until the in-person portion of their program. Visa sponsorship is not available for the fully online MPH programs.


18-Month MPH Timeline

Complete the 18-month MPH program by March of your second year.

You may be eligible for a research assistantship. You will also have the time to do an internship over the summer if you choose.

Eligible programs:

Expect to spend: 40-60 hours of coursework each week

Application deadlines:

  • On-Campus MPH: August 1  (international student deadline: June 1)
  • Online MPH: August 23

21-Month MPH Timeline

Complete the MPH program in less than 2 years, but still work part-time if you choose.

You may be eligible for a research assistantship. You will also have the time to do an internship over the summer if you choose.

Eligible programs:

Expect to spend: 30-50 hours of coursework each week

Application deadlines:

  • On-Campus MPH: August 1  (international student deadline: June 1)
  • Online & Executive MPH: August 23

33-Month MPH Timeline

Complete the 33-month part-time MPH program in less than 3 years while still working full-time.

You may be eligible for a research assistantship. You will also have time to do an internship over the summer if you choose.

Eligible programs:

Expect to spend: 18-20 hours of coursework each week

Application deadline: August 23
