International Students
International students are a significant part of the Dragon Community here at Drexel University, representing over 117 different countries. Adjusting to a new country, cultural and academic system can be exciting and challenging. International students can face challenges that include:
- Culture shock
- Immigration concerns
- Homesickness and separation from loved ones
- Language/communication differences
- Financial stress
The Counseling Center recognizes the unique needs of international students and is committed to providing culturally responsive care to our students. Currently, the Counseling Center is able to provide therapy in French and Korean.
Campus Resources
The Counseling Center offers a variety of services, including workshops, individual and group counseling. Check out our groups page for information about our USO: International Students group.
- International Students and Scholars Services (ISSS) advises students on immigration, cultural, academic, financial, and personal concerns
- English Language Center offers a variety of programs and services for English language learners at Drexel
- DragonLink helps students find and connect to Drexel student organizations (such as the International Students Union) and upcoming events
