Greg Sieber: Thesis Process
A creative exploration of making in service to a thesis narrative
For the design of this assemblage, I am currently experimenting with organic form finding through sketching and prototyping with clay and plaster. I’ve triangulated an aesthetic that is resonate and inspiring to me at the moment and am making with this in mind, you can find references of this on my board. I’m interested in allowing this to unfold slowly and do not intend to arrive quickly at a final form. Rather, I’d like to create vignettes alongside the technical prototypes I’m making to see how these processes of exploration could work generatively together. My initial form experiments have been fruitful, though brief, and I intend to continue refining the ideas I’ve explored in these first nascent iterations. Photos of these initial forms can also be found on the board.
