The idea behind this application stemmed from the current educational gap that exists in the world today. Many people do not understand the differences between trash and recycling. This causes recycling centers to have to throw away perfectly good batches of recycling into the landfill. Items depending upon their plastic content can take up to 1000 years to decompose. The applications goal is to enable people to go about their lives with the added bonus of having a trash dictionary per-say in their pockets to be used with little to no inconvenience.
