Lexerd Yearbook

The Drexel University yearbook has been published each year since 1911. The name Lexerd was first used in 1913.

It was created by the yearbook staff at the time and is the word Drexel spelled backwards. It was chosen because it most accurately portrayed the purpose of the yearbook — to help students, alumni, and the community look back at Drexel University and reflect on the time that they spent here. All previous years' editions of the yearbook are available for viewing in the Drexel Archives, found in the lower level of the W. W. Hagerty Library at 33rd and Market streets.

Senior Portraits

Senior portrait sessions for the undergraduate Class of 2022 are offered throughout the year. Students who sit for a senior portrait will receive a complimentary copy of the Lexerd yearbook during the fall after Commencement. Students who do not take a senior portrait but wish to purchase a copy of the Lexerd can do so through Balfour.

There is a $30 portrait sitting fee.

Students or families interested in purchasing an advertisement in the Lexerd should visit Balfour.

On-Campus Portrait Sessions

Prestige Portraits will offer final on-campus portraits appointments beginning Monday, November 8 continuing through late April 2022 in the Creese Student Center basement, conference room C. Schedule your appointment today using the school code 87172 or call 1.800.OUR.YEAR ™(687-9327) during normal business hours. Appointment times will be released throughout the year; be sure to check periodically for additional availability.

Portraits will be taken in your business attire and in cap and gown. Academic attire will be provided, but you must inform us of your major so that you can be posed properly.

Note: Prestige Portraits is very excited to be able to capture this important milestone in your school career. At this unprecedented time, Lifetouch has put in place all CDC recommended guidelines for taking senior portraits.

No-touch posing and social distancing will be implemented. Photographers and assistants will not make physical contact and will keep 6 feet of distance from subjects, customers, and employees.

All work areas will be cleaned after each sitting, and all clothing (studio provided attire) will be steamed cleaned between each subject. All photographers and assistants will be wearing face masks at all times.
