Problem Solving Measures (PSM) For Grades 3 – 8

Developing & Evaluating Assessments of Problem Solving (DEAP) (Award No. 1720646)
Collaborators: Bowling Green State University & MetriKs Amérique
Project: Development and validation of six measures aligned to the Common Core State Standards for mathematics, as well as score interpretation reports for teachers at the classroom level.
Impact: Since 2014, about 7,000 students completed a PSM across more than 10 Ohio school districts. These tests are undergoing Ohio Department of Education Approved Vendor Assessment consideration to be used in the student growth assessment system.
21st Century Skills Assessment Global Rating Scale

Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP)
Collaborators: Dr. Carla C. Johnson
Project: Development and validation of assessments of growth in middle school, high school, and undergraduate students’ 21st Century Skills.
Impact: Since 2016, 5 AEOPs have assessed about 1,500 middle school, high school, and undergraduate students in programs across the United States. The assessment is available for public use in the journal of School Science and Mathematics
