Browsing, Borrowing & Returning

To browse titles of books, journals, assessments and other materials in the early childhood education lab, please click here. To check out or return something complete the online Lending Library form. You may borrow items for up to 30 days. Remember to add the check in date when you return your items. Thank you for keeping books and materials in pristine condition for future readers.

Accessing the Library

All materials are located on shelves in the ECE lab space. Have the lab unlocked for you by Phil Gilliam at the reception desk or by another staff member. The location is 3401 Market St, 3rd Floor, School of Education, Room 3015 (north-east corner of the building).

Lost and Damaged Items

If you lose or damage something please re-purchase it for the lab. Deliver replacement books and materials to Phil Gilliam at the reception desk. Make a note on the Lending Library Form that the item was lost or damaged and replaced.

Donating Items to the Library

Should you have current titles you wish to donate to the lab (maximum 5 years old), please email the director to make a contribution or leave the materials with Phil Gilliam for collection.

Children’s Learning Materials

Useful learning materials (e.g. math manipulatives, blocks, arts & crafts) can be donated as well. These will be used with children and/or as teaching resources for on-campus courses. Please only donate materials that are clean, in good repair and gently used. If you wish to borrow these materials for educational purposes, please use the same check in and return procedure as for books. Simply describe the item in the “title” field of the Lending Library Form.
