Brian is currently enrolled in the Educational Leadership and Policy doctoral program at Drexel University.
Originally from Delaware, Brian graduated with a M.Ed. in Globalization and Educational Change with a concentration in TESOL from Lehigh University. Upon completion of this degree, Brian moved to Santa Cruz, Bolivia where he worked on a small team to open a US accredited (SACS) community college offering a 2+2 Associates of Arts to Bachelor’s degree program.
During his 5 years in Bolivia, Brian completed an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts – Boston. In addition to his position as Director of the International University of Santa Cruz, Brian also taught various courses including English Composition, English for Academic Purposes, Technical Writing, and Strategies for Success to first year international undergraduates.
Brian’s experience working with international undergraduate students has driven his continued research interests in international student affairs including students coming into the USA as well as US students gaining international experiences abroad through community based learning.
