[URCF] Introduction to Programming in Python Workshop
URCF is excited to announce our upcoming Introduction to Programming in Python workshop. This virtual workshop will introduce Python for those that have little to no programming experience in a project-based learning approach: we are going to learn how to use Python to carry data analysis for a simple health informatic scenario.
Prerequisite: It is highly recommended that you are familiar with the Picotte Supercomputer, either through your own experience or by attending our Introduction to Research Computing on Picotte workshop on Wednesday October 18, 2023, from 3:00PM - 5:00PM.
The Introduction to Programming in Python workshop consists of two parts:
- Part 1: A quick introduction to Python and its basic data analytic capability in processing and visualizing data.
- Friday, November 10, 2023 from 2:00PM - 5:00PM (3 hours)
- Part 2: A more in-depth view into programming concepts in Python, including loops, conditions, functions, and testing and debugging.
- Friday, November 17, 2023 from 2:00PM - 5:00PM (3 hours)
Register here for both parts of our virtual Introduction to Programming in Python workshop
