Drexel Applied Innovation consists of three teams Intellectual Property & Agreements, Industry Engagement and Entrepreneurial Development. Drexel Applied Innovation’s mission is to expand the impact of Drexel research through technology transfer. The Vice Provost for Innovation works closely with Drexel’s senior leadership to design and implement the University’s future innovation ecosystem.
Impact & Commercialization
Drexel Applied Innovation typically sees 50-60 invention disclosures, executes 10 license agreements and helps 2-3 startup companies launch every year.
The IP & Agreements team protects Drexel inventions and discoveries through IP development. The Industry Engagement team connects Drexel innovation and their inventors to unmet industry needs. The Entrepreneurial Advancement team provides entrepreneurial training and resources for faculty, postdocs and PhD students.
