The Office of Research & Innovation is pleased to announce support for student researchers to participate in the 2024 AAAS Annual Meeting Student E-Poster competition.

Last year, Drexel undergraduate and graduate students took home 44 percent of the poster competition awards.

The 2024 AAAS Annual Meeting, Toward Science Without Walls, will be in person from Denver, CO on February 15-17, 2024.

AAAS is accepting Student E-Poster Abstracts from individuals who are full-time students, while enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree program.

The categories for the E-Posters are Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Brain and Behavior; Cell Biology; Developmental Biology, Genetics, and Immunology; Environment and Ecology; Medicine and Public Health; Physical Sciences; Science in Society; Social Sciences; Technology, Engineering, and Math.

The first place winning undergraduate and graduate students in each category will receive a cash award of $500, a one-year AAAS membership that includes a digital subscription to the journal Science, name and poster title printed and published in Science, and a recognition certificate.

The honorable mention place winning undergraduate and graduate students in each category will have their name and poster title printed and published in Science and will receive a recognition certificate.

The student presenter is the only eligible recipient to receive the cash award and prizes.

Judges will evaluate student submissions, and finalists will be invited to present their poster in-person in Denver, CO (based on category).

The Office of Research & Innovation will fund the fees ($25 for abstract and $75 for meeting fee) for approved submissions.

To be considered for funding, all students must first submit their proposal to the Drexel Funding Portal for review and approval prior to submitting to AAAS.

The Drexel internal submission deadline is Wednesday, October 18, 2023, and the AAAS submission deadline for Drexel is Thursday, October 19, 2023, to allow time to process payment.
