Research Core Facilities

Under the leadership of the Executive Vice Provost for Research and Innovation, Aleister J. Saunders, Ph.D., research core facilities are central to Drexel’s multifaceted research mission. Drexel University is committed to the development of scientific capacities through the discovery and dissemination of knowledge and application through service. To further this mission, Drexel Core Facilities assists faculty in engaging in cutting edge research, high end instrumentation, technical support, education, and innovation aimed to influence societal change and to inspire young minds and future generations. Through strategic direction setting, policy formulation, and governance, Research Core Facilities play a driving role in enabling research and scholarship at Drexel University.

Currently, Research Core Facilities encompasses the following areas: The Materials Characterization Core, The Cell Imaging Center, University Laboratory Animal Resources (ULAR), and The University Research Computing Facility.
