December 8, 2022

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, the Drexel University community gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration of the ceremonial opening of the new Health Sciences Building, at 36th and Filbert Streets on the University’s main campus. As 2022 comes to an end, the College of Medicine looks forward to our medical and graduate students joining the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions in the new space in the new year.
The Health Sciences Building is home to instructional and laboratory spaces, study and office spaces, and rooms designed to promote work-life balance and wellbeing. The building’s state-of-the-art technology and specialized academic spaces will enhance students’ learning, as will opportunities to provide outreach and service to the community.
The opportunity to collaborate with peers in other health-related programs benefits students and faculty members alike. Students, faculty and professional staff from the College of Nursing and Health Professions have occupied the Health Sciences Building since September of this year; members of the Graduate School of Biomedical and Professional Studies will move into the building in early 2023, and members of the College of Medicine’s MD Program will follow in August of that year.
